Admission Rules

  1. The Directorate of Education-Govt. of Goa requires that the children in class 1 complete 5 ½ years of age  on or before June 1  of the academic year in which they have been admitted .

  2. Children admitted to the KG classes must submit along with the application form ,a birth certificate in original ( six months validity).

  3. Children who have been promoted from Std. IV to Std. V will be admitted directly in Deepvihar Secondary School.

  4. The Headmistress has the right to refuse continuation of studies to any pupil whose conduct, influence or attendance is unsatisfactory.

  5. Promotion rules as applicable will be implemented.

  6. Admission forms will be sold at Rs.20/- each.

Leave and Absence

A Child’s regular attendance in class is absolutely necessary. Children must attend class from the first day to the last day of every term. Any absence, of either day or absence caused due to illness or other reasons will be condoned only on receipt of a letter from parents explaining the reasons. In every such case permission shall be at the discretion of the Headmistress.
Those pupils who remain absent without permission after the school vacation shall be liable to have their names struck off the rolls and the will have to pay entrance fee to be re-admitted.

As a rule, one day’s leave of absence may be granted for personal reasons. However, leave to go out of Goa will, as a rule not be granted. Leave of this nature i.e to go out of Goa is never to be presumed granted. Absence during exams due to illness of child will be exempted on producing medical certificate from the doctor.
Repeated absence from the school shall render a pupil liable for dismissal.

General
Parents are requested not to approach the school authorities to seek permission to take their wards home before school ends for the day except in any emergency.

Parents are requested to maintain high standards personal hygiene and to take special note of their children’s, ears, neck and nails. Children with lice in their hair should be attended to properly. Boys should have their haircut reasonable short. Nails must be kept short and cut regularly.
Children skin ailments or infectious diseases should not be sent to school.
Parents will not be permitted to meet the teacher during class hours. They are welcome to meet teachers but only after permission has been granted by the Headmistress and prior appointment fixed by her.
No Birthday celebrations of your ward in school. Children should come in School uniform.

All correspondence with teacher, Headmistress should be recorded in this school calendar.

Parents must see that their children prepare lessons daily. School calendar should checked daily for notices and remarks .

We ask parent’s co-operation and continued support in helping us to give our children the best in education and to make our school truly a great one.

Parents expected to sign messages, progress cards etc. , when so requested
by the school. Private tuitions is not encouraged.

Parents have to surrender IDENTITY CARD of their ward on or before the last day of the school.

Fees

  1. Parents seeking admission to L.K.G class will pay admission fee and two months advance fees.The advance amount will be adjusted against the fees for the last two months of the academic year, namely April & May. As such new entrants will be obliged to pay admission fee with two months advance fees and regular fees from the month of June in the academic year in which admission has been granted. the Education Society reserves the right to revise the fees from time to time.

  2. Fees for the month of April and May and term fees will be charged in advance at the start of the academic year.

  3. Fees should be deposited in advance by the 15th of every month at Bank of India Sada branch or Vasco branch A\c No. 102610200002708.
    A fine of Rs.20/ – per month will be charged as late fee for failure to pay within the stipulated time.

  4. If a pupil leaves the school in the middle of the term without notice his/her name will be struck off the roll after the expiry of one month and fees for the whole term will be charged to his/her account before issuing the Leaving certificate.

  5. Fees will also be accepted for the full term in advance if parents find it more convenient to do so.

  6. Fee challan book will be sold at Rs 10/- each.

WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL

  1. Parents who wish to withdraw their children at the end of an academic year are requested to inform the school office in writing by the first week of April. No leaving certificate will be issued until all fees due to the school are paid. No fee will be charged for the leaving certificate asked within one year from the date of leaving the school. After this period a fee will be charged. A fee of Rs 10/- will be also charged for duplicate copy of leaving certificate or any extract from any register.
  2. Parents who withdraw their ward during any term will have to pay the fees of the whole term.
  3. Report cards and Leaving Certificate of students will be withheld until all dues are cleared by the parents.

The management reserves the rights to make/amend rules from time to time as deemed necessary.

The Management/ Headmistress reserves the right of decision in cases

which have not been included in the calendar to maintain discipline of the school.

School Uniform

Primary Girls – Maroon Chequers low waist dress with six box pleats and Dark Grey round collar with tie.

Pre- Primary girls- Maroon Chequers low waist dress with six box pleats and Dark Grey sailors collar.

Boys- Maroon Chequers shirt with Grey tie and Dark Grey trousers, Black shoes and Black socks for Boys and Girls-Primary and Pre-Primary Section.

During the monsoon months, children will be permitted to wear sandals, if desired. However, from September first regular foot wear regulations will have to be abided by.

A Child must not come to school without wearing the school uniform. If for some reason a child has no uniform he/she should bring a note of excuse from the parents or guardians.

Besides the regular school uniform the P.T. uniform will be worn every Saturday-Boy & Girls white shirts and shorts (Primary).
