Deepvihar Higher Secondary School was established in 1993 and the entire credit goes to Mrs.Victoria D’lima who understood the problems faced by the students then, as there were only 2 Higher Secondary Schools in Mormugao Taluka.

She worked tirelessly towards the same and succeeded in her mission with the support and Cooperation of Mr.Gasper Furtado, Ms Neeta Manuel and constant guidance with encouragement from Mormugao Port Trust Education Society. A special Mention needs to be made of Late B.P.Raut Dessai as well for his support.

We have completed 24 years in June 2018 and are heading towards Silver Jubilee in 2019. Mrs. Victoria D’lima worked as Principal from June 1993 to May 2009. I place on record that the base of Deepvihar H.S.S. is very strong due to her Dynamic Leadership and Strong Determination. She contributed Whole Heartedly to give Deepvihar H.S.S. recognition in the state of Goa. I take this opportunity to thank her for her selfless service in the Field of Education.

The Staff of Deepvihar H.S.S. entered the instituition as very thin and fragile saplings but today we stand strong as the Banyan Tree in our school Campus.

Huge trees of Banyan and Gul Mohar in our campus mean a lot to our instituition. They teach us to be strong and remember that after winter comes summer and not to feel low at any time. In Hindi Banyan tree is Bargad ka ped which means Tree of Prosperity.

“We miss Deepvihar H.S.S.” are the words of our Ex-students, these words motivate us to progress as we at Deepvihar Share a strong bond with our students and help them to be
Disciplined, Energetic, Enthusiastic, Persistent, Victorious, Intelligent, Hard working, Affectionate and Righteous.

Today as the Principal, heading the Institution from June 2009, I am indeed proud to say that a strong rapport between the staff and the students, care and concern shown towards students by the staff has helped us to be UNIQUE in the field of Education. We are happy to get connected with the Society and all our Ex-students through this web site.

Together let us all work to make this World Beautiful and Divine.
